Mother Nature Always Wins

It finally happened!

It was building up for weeks and I was mentally putting it off longer and longer.

Then it finally happened.

I got sick.

I got a fever.

A real fever.

103 degrees (102.7 degrees to be exact).Fever

I’m a fairly healthy guy.

Yes, I can eat better.

I’m in decent (not great shape).

And I drink a lot of nutritional supplements.

One can only push oneself so long though.

Yup.

I’ve been running on overdrive for several weeks.

My sleeping schedule was slightly messed up – even for me.

It’s been a busy summer.

So much to do and so little time.

Most of us are busy people.

Although we all have the same amount of time, it never seems like it’s enough for us.

Whether we are busy working hard or hardly working, time is the great equalizer.

Mother Nature though is always the winner.

TRY as I might to get more done with less, there are limits.

What are your limits?

Apparently, I hit mine.

There were events leading up to the Fourth of July that I had to take care of and then the Fourth of July Festivals – while very worthwhile and fun – was extremely busy.

It didn’t end there for me though as I had family coming into town for a full week and had to play host to them – while still working on several business projects.

You get the idea.

It’s amazing though because as soon as my family left, it hit me.

It’s amazing what the human body can withstand and what you can will yourself to accomplish when you have too.

What things in your life can you will to happen?

Remember though, Mother Nature always wins.

Mother Nature

She’s there steady and waiting and telling your body that it needs to rest and recover.

So do what you need to do and will it to happen only, make sure you get the rest that you need – or Mother Nature will make sure for you.
