Leaders Are Made…

Not Born. How many of you have heard that statement?

I’m not sure who said it only someone did. They say that it doesn’t matter who you are or where you were born or what your background is, leaders are made… which means that through training, education, and life experiences you can become the person you were always meant to be.

You can become that powerful public orator, or that motivating congressman or woman, or how about just that knowledgeable and well spoken teacher or trainer. Leadership can be found anywhere – in the office, at home, in your personal life. You can lead your coworkers on a project, organize a huge social and lead everyone to a great time, lead your kids to clean up the house.

It doesn’t matter where it happens, at many points throughout life, we are all leaders. And it’s through living life and studying things that we become greater leaders.

So instead of sitting in front of that boob tube and letting your mind go to mush, how about picking up a good book, going to a social or community service event, or attending a training at a seminar or local college?

There are many, many opportunities to develop your leadership skills and be

come a self-made leader. It all begins with you taking action though. So take action now and go to the next event and make yourself into that leader you always knew was inside of you.
