Not All Pads Are Equal

So hey, I write about pretty much anything in this blog.  Today, I’m going to write about Nursing Pads.  Yup.  Nursing Pads.  See, I’m a proud new/not so new papa of a newborn.  My second son that is (thus the not so new part).  And well, I really don’t need the Nursing Pads.  And you guessed it… my wife does!

She’s breast feeding and well, if you didn’t know it, when you’re breast feeding a baby, well, your body keeps producing milk.  And when you’re full or after a feeding, there’s leakage.  And if you don’t want funny looking shirts or dripping wet bras, you need Nursing Pads.  This is of course a lesson for all guys out there who have wives who plan on breast feeding.  Hey, I’ll educate you on anything!

Regardless, my wife told me she needed some nursing pads to absorb the “extra” milk, so like a guy, I go out and while shopping at a grocery store, bought the first nursing pad I found.  Such husbandly devotion huh?  Well, it turns out that the pads I bought had creases in them.  Kinda like the ones in this picture here:

Don’t ask me why cause I have no idea.  So can you guess what happened?

Yeah, instead of getting absorbed, the extra milk just ran down the creases and into my wife’s bra and shirt.  So basically, they did nothing.  Poor design?

Well, turns out not all pads are equal.  My wife had to go “shopping” for pads.  Thankfully, she knew what she was looking for.  She ended up getting some Lansinoh Ultimate Protection Nursing Pads:

Hey, who knew.  Did you know they also make washable and reusable nursing pads?   Check out these pads:

Not only are they reusable and washable, they’re Organic Bamboo!  Woo Hoo!  Gonna check them out and see how well they work.

So hey,  if you liked this article, you should read what I wrote about bleeding nipples.  I think it’s posted somewhere in this blog.  If not, I’m going to have to find that article and post it now!  Remember, not all pads are equal in the game of life either.  So buyer beware!
